Privacy

What we collect

• Account info — email, display name, and sign-in provider (email/password, Google, or Apple) when you create an account.
• Profile & coaching prefs — fighting style, stance, goals, experience level, coach tone, and similar answers from onboarding or settings.
• Training media — short video clips you record or upload, plus pose landmarks and analysis results (scores, defects, coaching notes, phase frames) derived from those clips.
• Progress data — XP, streaks, badges, session history, and plan goals tied to your account.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, feature events, approximate device/browser info, and crash or error signals. When analytics is enabled, we use PostHog (or a similar provider) for product analytics and experiments.
• Payments (when billing is on) — subscription status and related billing metadata via Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

How we use it

• Run pose estimation and scoring on your clips and generate coaching feedback.
• Save history, progress, and personalized plans so you can improve over time.
• Operate accounts, security, fraud prevention, and customer support.
• Measure product usage, fix bugs, and run A/B tests to improve the experience.
• Process subscriptions and affiliate/referral accounting when those features are live.
• Send product or account emails you reasonably expect (e.g. billing, security).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your training videos to train public foundation models without a separate, explicit opt-in.

Pose & video — important

Clips are processed to estimate body landmarks (for example via on-device MediaPipe) and to score technique. Analysis may run on your device and/or our servers. Videos and derived pose data are sensitive: treat filming locations carefully, and only upload clips of yourself (or people who have agreed).

Form Fighter is a training aid, not medical, physiotherapeutic, or licensed coaching advice. Scores are estimates from camera footage and can be wrong — especially with poor lighting, framing, or angle.

Where data lives

We use providers such as Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage), hosting for the web app, Anthropic (or similar) for written coaching text when enabled, Stripe for payments when enabled, and PostHog for analytics when enabled. Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where those providers operate.

During early testing, some sessions may also store data locally in your browser (localStorage) as a fallback.

Advertising

We advertise Form Fighter on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). When advertising is enabled we use the Meta Pixel in your browser and Meta's Conversions API on our servers, so we can tell which ads lead to signups and subscriptions. What we share is limited to events — you started a trial, you subscribed — along with a hashed, irreversible form of your email address and account id so Meta can match the event to an ad. We never send Meta your clips, your pose data, or your scores.

You can limit this from your device: tracking protection or an ad blocker stops the browser pixel, and Meta's own ad settings control how your activity is used for advertising. Blocking it does not affect your use of the app.

Testimonials, reminders & guest accounts

• Testimonials — if you send us a quote, we store it with the name and city you give. We publish it only if you tick the consent box, and we read it first. Email julian@form-fighter.com any time to have it removed.
• Reminders — if you save a session for later, we build a calendar file on your device. If you give an email address, we store it so we can remind you.
• Guest accounts — you can train before creating an account. Progress is held against a temporary anonymous account and carries over if you sign up.

Cookies & similar tech

We use cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, install prompts, and analytics (when configured). You can clear site data in your browser; that may sign you out or reset local progress that has not synced.

Children

Form Fighter is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If we learn we collected personal data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

Retention

We keep account, clip, and analysis data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time from Settings — this erases your profile, scores, lessons, watch list, drill sets, and every uploaded clip. Some records may remain in backups for a limited period.

Your choices

• Update profile preferences in Settings.
• Stop uploading clips or delete the app / clear site data.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
• Request access or correction of your account data by emailing julian@form-fighter.com.
• For Google or Apple sign-in, manage those connections in your provider account settings as well.

Security

We use industry-standard provider controls (encrypted transport, authenticated access to your documents). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Protect your account credentials and device.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or by email when appropriate.
