What is Form Fighter?

Form Fighter is a mobile web training tool for people who practice boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, or MMA striking alone. Live camera practice uses standard 2D pose feedback on the strikes in your discipline, then names one weak mechanic and drills it out loud. You can also upload a side-on shadowboxing or bag-work round with one fighter clearly in frame. The upload scan looks for clear strike moments across the 11 standard 2D techniques and coaches the clearest one when evidence is strong. Weak or ambiguous evidence is refused, not guessed. Eligible sessions may also receive enhanced movement review across a wider technique roster when that surface is available.

Plain-language definition

Form Fighter is a mobile web training tool for solo boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA practice. Solo strikers — boxers, kickboxers, Muay Thai, and MMA practitioners — who train at home, in a garage, or between classes without a coach in the room.

Disciplines

  • Boxing
  • Kickboxing
  • Muay Thai
  • MMA striking

Live camera practice

Prop the phone so your whole body is in frame, throw, and Form Fighter uses standard 2D pose feedback on the strikes in your discipline. It names one weak mechanic and can run a hands-free corrective drill out loud. This is automated pose feedback — not a human coach in the room.

Upload review (standard 2D)

Upload analysis (standard 2D) looks for clear strike moments across jab, cross, hook, uppercut, overhand, teep, side kick, knee, low kick, roundhouse, and head kick. Each is scored only after identity evidence and a valid cut. Weak or ambiguous evidence is refused, not guessed. Switch kick is not part of standard 2D upload.

Enhanced movement review

Enhanced movement review is available for supported sessions when eligible. Standard camera feedback remains focused on visible movement patterns.

What a phone camera can help you review

  • Visible strike path and direction on screen
  • Relative extension of the punching hand or kicking leg
  • Return and recovery to guard or base
  • Guard position before and after the shot
  • Elbow or knee bend when those joints are visible
  • Chamber before a kick extends
  • Relative kick-height bands and upward rise when framing allows
  • Selected visible arc or path cues on the screen plane
  • Quality-gated visible turn proxies when the clip is clear enough

What it cannot reliably measure

  • Power, force, impact, bag contact, or target penetration
  • Opponent behavior, sparring effectiveness, or fight IQ
  • Medical safety, injury risk, or injury prevention
  • Universal perfect form or lab-validated biomechanics
  • Exact 3D hip yaw, exact heel-pivot angle, or exact distance
  • Weight transfer through the floor

What Form Fighter does not claim

  • It is not a human coach and does not replace pads, sparring, clinch work, or in-person instruction.
  • It does not guarantee skill improvement or fight outcomes.
  • It does not give medical, physiotherapeutic, or injury-prevention advice.
  • Enhanced movement review runs only on eligible supported sessions — not on every practice or upload.
  • Switch kick is not available in standard V2 2D live practice, upload grading, or drills.

Platforms

Form Fighter runs in the mobile browser as a progressive web app on iPhone and Android phones. An iPhone app is on the App Store. Android is coming soon — train in your browser on Android today. Desktop browsers also work for account and review flows.

Privacy and video

Clips you record or upload are processed for pose landmarks and coaching results. Analysis may run on your device and/or our servers. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored, why, and how to delete it.

Safety

Form Fighter is a training aid. Scores are estimates from a phone camera and can be wrong — especially with poor lighting, framing, or angle. Warm up, clear space, and stop if something hurts. It does not diagnose injury or replace a qualified coach.
